Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to support intelligence and national security missions. The ideal candidate will leverage data analytics, visualization, and statistical modeling to extract actionable intelligence from complex datasets. This role requires proficiency in data wrangling, analytics tools, and intelligence methodologies to support mission-critical decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Collect, clean, process, and analyze large structured and unstructured datasets to support intelligence operations.
Develop data models, visualizations, and dashboards to convey complex insights effectively.
Utilize statistical analysis, machine learning, and predictive modeling to enhance intelligence reporting.
Apply SQL, Python, R, and other analytical tools to manipulate and interpret data.
Conduct trend analysis, anomaly detection, and risk assessment for national security initiatives.
Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, and mission stakeholders to refine analytical approaches.
Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with IC standards and policies.
Automate data processing workflows to enhance efficiency and scalability.
Present findings and intelligence briefings to leadership and government agencies.
Stay informed on emerging data technologies, AI advancements, and cybersecurity threats relevant to intelligence work.
Required Skills and Demonstrated Experience:
U.S. Citizenship required.
Active TS/SCI with FS Polygraph (required, no exceptions).
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, R, and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or ArcGIS).
Experience with big data processing tools (Hadoop, Spark, Databricks) and ETL pipelines.
Knowledge of machine learning algorithms, predictive modeling, and statistical analysis.
Familiarity with cloud-based data solutions (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Understanding of cybersecurity principles, intelligence tradecraft, and classified data handling.
Ability to write and brief intelligence reports for leadership and operational teams.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications & Certifications:
Experience working in DoD, NSA, CIA, DIA, or other IC agencies.
Familiarity with geospatial intelligence (GEOINT), signals intelligence (SIGINT), or open-source intelligence (OSINT).
Certifications such as:
Certified Analytics Professional (CAP)
AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty
Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Scientist Associate
CompTIA Security+ or CISSP (for cybersecurity-focused analysts)
Tableau Desktop Specialist or Power BI Data Analyst Associate
Experience with data governance, metadata management, and compliance frameworks.
Experience Levels:
Full Performance: 3+ years of experience plus a bachelor’s degree.
Senior: 6+ years of experience plus a bachelor’s degree.
Expert: 11+ years of experience plus a bachelor’s degree.
Subject Matter Expert: 16+ years of experience plus a bachelor’s degree.
